I also hate doing these letters, but something about Ship Swap makes me feel like I should. So, onward!
BSG
BSG has been my primary fandom for the past god-knows-how-many years, and Gaeta/Hoshi is totally my OTP. I would love pretty much anything about them. I especially love what-if AUs where they somehow get to be together (although I'm also perfectly fine with them dying together). But any sort of what if (what if Gaeta was on the Pegasus at any point? What if Hoshi had gone down to New Caprica? What if they'd gotten married at some point? What if Hoshi had found Gaeta right after the Circle? (although I guess that doesn't have to be AU) would be AWESOME. Or maybe something about how they get on with each other's friends, or how they got over some of the baggage they're both carrying, or how they deal with the respective crews. Really, pretty much anything with these two is awesome.
However, Gaeta/Hoshi is my OTP by virtue of being canon, and I also adore the ship of Gaeta/Narcho, although I think it would be different. Again, pretty much anything is awesome- especially in the what-if AU genre. (All those prompts would work just as well, really.) I do think Narcho and Hoshi are very different people, so it would make a really interesting and different fic.
And hey, threesome with these two can work for me, too :) (Normally I wouldn't say that, but in this case, why not?)
I also am a fan of Cally. I find her relationship with Tyrol interesting, precisely because it's so flawed. I'd love to see something about them on New Caprica, learning how to be in love and how they really are kind of settling, especially Tyrol (but I think Cally, too.) Or how Nicky affects their relationship.
Or, if Cally/Tyrol doesn't do it for you, I've discovered that Cally/Hot Dog can actually be really, really sweet. (Especially if it is either instead of Tyrol or after Tyrol.) My dream would be an AU where they hooked up, Cally got pregnant, and instead of her marrying Tyrol, Brendan moved down to New Caprica and they tried to figure out how to deal with it, and eventually (at whatever point) do fall in love and end up together, but not right away. Or an AU where Cally doesn't die, divorces Tyrol, and after some time gets together with Hot Dog. Or heck, Cally got pregnant because she and Tyrol invited Brendan in for a night. Hey, it makes more sense than some of what canon came up with :P
Hunger Games
For the most part, Hunger Games isn't a shippy canon for me. But I admit, the Catching Fire movie totally turned me on to Beetee/Wiress. They have something I love in a couple- lots of baggage and a second chance. I love couples where both parties have something terrible in their past that they must deal with and are able to turn to each other for comfort and support. It doesn't have to be true love forever or soulmates, but something where they can find some comfort with each other would be fantastic.
Chaos Walking
I so wish we'd gotten more of Cillian/Ben. How did they support each other, especially with Cillian having a difficult time connecting with Todd, despite the fact he loved him? How did they handle both having the Noise? A dream AU would be that Ben died and Cillian lived and how that would affect Todd, but that's really, really ambitious, I think :P
I'd also love a post canon fic about Todd and Viola, and how they settled into their relationship. One main thing with Todd and Viola though- I'm really uncomfortable with explicit underage sex. I don't mind the implication, especially if they're 16 or older, but please please please, a fade to black there would really be appreciated.
In general, I have to admit, I am totally an R-and-under girl. I don't mind some more explicit sex, but I tend to be very vanilla, and I'm much more into character interaction and plot. I'm also not much on other-setting AUs, although I love what-if AUs with a huge passion. (I also adore crossovers, although I know that can get tricky.) I like most genres though- angst is awesome, as is fluff. I actually have no issue with non con, as long as it's not inside the pairing. (I do love hurt/comfort, so a partner helping another deal with something like that- especially in the Gaeta pairings where the Gaeta/Eight pairing had some serious dub-con implications) is great. I also have a hard time reading infidelity, so I'd prefer to just skip that particular subject.
