Chicken Biryani recipe
On my quest to make good Indian food I tried a recipe off the back of a spice jar. It turned out ok but would like to try a similar recipe again - I was in a rush and did not cook anything except the chicken long enough - think the tomato and onion is supposed to cook down more into a sauce.
Fry one medium onion and tomato in a little oil.
Add 1/2- 1 lb. meat or vegetables (I used chicken thighs) and saute til golden brown.
Add 4 tbsp biryani paste and cook 5 min.
Add 1/2 cup water, cover pan and simmer until done. (Probably should've simmered w/spice longer)
Serve the meat or vegetables over rice.
Served with frozen samosas which I just put in the toaster oven. Those are yummy.
