Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty-- two scenes in this production made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end: Aurora's dance with Caradoc in the garden, and Count Lilac's embrace with Leo at the gates. I adore how twisted the power dynamics are, how Count Lilac is a little ambiguous, how much Aurora desires Caradoc, and how full of fear that desire is (also, ummmmm somnophilia? *hides*). I would love something exploring this, at just about any level. Go as dark or as light as you want, because while I am deeply into the kinkier aspects of the production, I also love how light and free Aurora and Leo's courtship is, and how passionate. Something with just the two of them would also be lovely!
Rivers of London: give me strong women. Give me all the rivers, and how they live and love. Give me magic, and all the ways it could possibly work, the way architecture, art and music are so powerful. I love everyone in the series, so pick a character and do whatever your beautiful generous heart desires! If you are so inclined, Simone and her sisters are particular favourites, but go where you will, I will love it!
BBC Historical Farm RPF: My face when I saw that this had been nominated was a picture! As I said, filthy threesome would be amazing, but if not, just a kind of slice of life would be lovely! and as for time travel, I just love the idea of all of them being transported somewhere for real and being competent and managing to survive, but also clinging together, making their way through the world as a team. Something found familyish would be lovely too!
Henry IV: oh man, Hotspur and Henry. My two favourite orbiting stars. I would love something about their relationship, moments in which they could maybe have become friends, without the weight of parental expectations and a crown that was maybe a tiny bit stolen! As slashy or gen as you like, and follow canon or veer wildly off course!
