my holiday
Miserably hot. And... the washer in our laundry room is eating quarters and not actually using the quarters to make laundry happen. T_T
So... my big plan of a holiday spent doing laundry and watching obscene amounts of NCIS became less fun. There were still large amounts of NCIS, but I had to try to wash some clothes in the tub, and then I had a humid apartment and clothes trying to dry and half the fans pointed at the clothes and not at me. And ugh! MISERABLY HOT.
Nooshie sprawled like a dead thing for most of the day.
I sprawled like a nearly dead thing that still had the hots for Mark Harmon... (Hmm. How does he feel about zombies?)
Oh, and there was a brief interlude of making raspberry sorbet.
Dump a whole lot of raspberries in a 4-cup measuring bowl/thing. Was not quite 3-cups of berries. Pour in enough lime-flavored sparkling water to cover. Play with new immersion blender (bought with my Admin's Day gift card). Add about 1/2 cup Splenda (too much, I think). Put in ice cream maker. Mmmmmmm.
The ice cream maker is new, too. I've had it for a week and love it. Have made green tea ice cream (with very expensive green tea, so probably won't do it quite the same again) following a recipe. Have experimented (no recipe) with coffee ice cream, lemon sorbet, and really funky not-so-good pomegranate-lemon sorbet.
