fannish update
The exciting thing about doing remix is that this is the first time since... 2002 or so that samikitty and I have been taking part in the same fan activity. We're in completely different fandoms, but still, I think it's pretty awesome. We shared fandoms when I wrote my very first fanfic! And years later, I still talk to her (email her) almost every day. ♥
(Speaking of stuff that's almost every day... In the last two months, I've posted as many entries as I'd normally post in a week. O_O How are you all managing without your usual doses of tentacle posts and photos of the magnificent Nooshie?)
Let's see if I can update you a little bit more.
What I've been doing:
The other day I wrote a 100-word drabble for kira_j in which Britney cooks (kind of).
Only a year after buying the game, I've finally started to get into Final Fantasy... um whatever number we're on now. I played a lot of that while I was sick. I'm starting to enjoy the gameplay, but I'm also sort of missing the older games that actually made me want to write/read fic about them, you know?
I went through about two months of reading tons of Snarry fic even though I never got farther in the HP books than Goblet of Fire. (That was mainly what I was reading when I should have been writing The Pussycat Monologues.)
I've just finished my third read-through of the Hikaru no Go manga... and started my fourth, this time taking notes about fic ideas. :DDD (Whenever I start reading it, I just can't seem to stop.)
I'm almost caught up with everything that I fell behind on at work. I hope the fact that I fell behind doesn't come back to bite me. At my last performance review, my boss said that in the spring, I could go back to working 4-day weeks, and I was very happy about that. Now, she might decide to take that away from me because maybe I'm not dependable. T___T
