I experimented with extreme closeup macro photography. I used a technique called reverse lens where you remove your lens, flip it around and hold it in place against your camera. It was challenging because the only way to focus is to move the camera closer or further away from the subject. The depth of field of only a centimeter was a challenge to focusing as well.
