Decades of careful breeding have produced a new subspecies of skunk, the Skunkus smellum goodis, more commonly known as the Fragrant Skunk. Easily identified by its unusual fur colors, the Fragrant Skunk has been bred to produce a pleasant, almost perfume-like, odor rather than the potent unwelcome scent its native cousins in the wild produce. Soooo cute! The longer and flatter tail looks better. Great job!

So Fleur is like a pokemon second level - evolved from Pierre. XD

Thanks.
And thanks as well for the advice. The longer flatter tail is a definite improvement although it does tend to make him a little unbalanced when it's not cocked up. Although it doesn't make him so unbalanced as to sit up like pictured. I have to put him in that position. LOL

A second level Pokemon, eh? I swear. Only you would think of that. ;p

Yes, she is. Admittedly I'm biased. But even still... she's adorable. :)

You know, Fleur was actually in my dream last night. I was in a car zooming through the mountains doing some kind of tour-guide thing, and I pointed out Fleur as we turned a corner - mentioning the rare pink skunk native only in this area. :D Wow - I had completely forgotten that was even in my dreams until I checked my email & saw your reply.

Oh wow! Talking about making an impression on someone. LOL That's funny. Well, I'm glad to hear that Fleur is so memorable that she shows up in other people's dreams. :D

Happy I got to see Fleur in person...in skunkhood? I am definitely noticing that quizzical expression my husband mentioned, especially in the last photo.

Skunkus smellus goodis. Hmmm. Good idea. Questionable Latin.

Maybe he looks a little quizzical because the eyes aren't perfectly aligned horizontally? The spiral method results in stitches that are slightly offset from each. It's not noticeable on a conscious level unless you know what you're looking for. The eyes may be offset just enough that close-up they invoke a subconscious reaction in the viewer. *shrugs* Or maybe not.

Everyone's a critic. ;p
