Season Wrap Up!
And the Winner Is ... Choose Your Own Adventure!
So like I mentioned, we recently had some major shenanigans. 21 of 73 votes cast in the original final vote turned out to be probably-fake accounts. That's 28.8% if you love stats as much as me.
Everyone seems to be in agreement that the votes should be discarded but then what? There are compelling arguments for several courses of action. As they're all equally reasonable, it's up to you to choose your own adventure and decide who in your opinion should win!! Read the following arguments and choose accordingly:
(A) Without the discarded votes there is no tie. Without a tie there is no runoff. The winner of the newly adjusted final vote is the season's winner!! Turn to page 42!

But the only reason the runoff wasn't originally going to occur was because I didn't want to do a whole new iteration. As long as it DID occur though, it's a valid poll that DID occur so:
(B) Consider the top two from the readjusted final to advance to the runoff and be the two eligible candidates in that vote. Whichever of them wins the runoff wins the season!! Turn to page 83!
Or...
(C) the final was hopelessly messed up, but the runoff included all three of the same people and was free of any "electoral abnormalities." So let's just dismiss the original final entirely and call the runoff the new final! Whoever wins the runoff out of all three candidates wins the season!! Turn to page 105!
What Now
Well kids its been fun, and what a dramatic ending! By sheer coincidence we're ending on the very day that therealljidol from which we spun off is starting its yearly season, and in a little over an hour I'm leaving for the airport to fly to Turkey and roam the world for a month.
I'm thinking Season II of ljshootout will maybe start next April or May. I reserve the right to wildly change that though depending on what's going on in my life (hey turns out its not all fun and games running these things!). (:
IN THE MEAN TIME! I think it would be fun to have some totally just for fun prompts once a month in the off season. I'll post a prompt, post your pictures to it or links to entries with your pictures, and when the month is over I'll post an entry with the pics and the new prompt, like I've done with the Cutting Room.

Very early on I considered a self portrait prompt. But obviously that would be an unfair advantage to the naturally beautiful and a disadvantage to the aesthetically impaired. Now I'm pretty sure all of you are stunning, or dashing, or both, but you know, I gotta look out for they hypotheticals.
So as our first unofficial not-being-voted-on absolutely-anyone-can-contribute prompt, I'm going with creative self portrait!
Heck, you yourself don't have to be in it. It can be your foot or some object that you think sums you up or... you know we're not voting on this I don't care take a picture of something totally unrelated for all I care cause no one's judgin. (: You've got a month, go!

That would be a nice way to resolve things, letting people decide for themselves and all three consider themselves winners, but that's just far too fluffy for me. Let's take a look at who won each round. Surely that's got to count for something.

One might notice a pattern there. 72.7% of the wins go to ayoub. I don't think anyone can argue that he deserves the win.
