Hm. I'm working on Reunion (finally!) and Chloe Sullivan is having a fit of giggles - you know, where something just strikes you as so very funny that you can't hold it in, it just explodes out of you. But I've used "giggle" several times. I was going to go with "apoplexy of laughter", but Merriam-Webster tells me that "apoplexy" is a stroke, not a fit. The word I'm thinking of must be similar, but it's not coming to me. Help?
Also, will the fandom rise up to strike me down if I have someone tell Clark that "Jor-El" and "Kal-El" sound like girly names?
