1) What are your first impressions of the journal? What did you like? Not like? How do you
think things could be improved? Overall what did you think of the journal?My first
impressions of the journal was that is was going to be boring. I like how this journal
doesn't represent teenage life. I didn't like how this journal revolved around
the same thing over and over again. As I read this journal I began to find it more interesting

style of the journal? Assuming that is Chinese it does reflect that he went to China

Does the biography tell about the user? Is it descriptive, creative, well thought out? Are images included within the biography OR Is it customized in any special way that makes it
stand out (customized fonts, color, links)? Does the biography provoke interest to read the journal? The only thing I find interesting in his bio was that he went to China and he likes it there. Also that he has 6 childern. In his bio he tells what his journal entries are about and tells us a bit of personal stuff, such as he is married etc etc. Nothing in his bio makes it stand

I would suggest you post a picture or some groups that you have joined to provoke interest. I would also tell of other things you like to do.

1. Do they post frequently? Are there large gaps between posts? If so do they give explanations why? This person updates almost everyday and I like that. Although his most recent post is December 31th 2003 and the date currently is December 5th2003. I dont know what is up with that but I find it amusing. 5pts
2. Is the journal overall grammatically correct? Is the spelling, capitalization, punctuation good? Is it easy to read? This person writes with much thought and intelligence. Although he post links sometimes it is fairly easy to read. 6pts
3. Depth of posts: Do the posts have much substance to them? Do their posts consist of a good length or are they brief? Do the posts make you want to continue reading the journal? The entries are of good length and I can tell he puts thought into them, some more than others. 5pts
4. Do posts flow well or is it difficult to follow their train of thought in journal entries? I can follow everything they are saying with ease. 6pts.
5. Do the posts have overall variety? Do they stay on one subject or write about various things/events? Do they post pictures, links, quizzes or polls, if they do are they hidden by the lj-cut tags? Does that make up a major part of the journal or is there a balance between those things and written entries? Quizzes links and polls should be kept to a minimum and the lj cut tags should be used to cover them? No quizzes and when
switching from subject they do use lj cut which is neat. He did although had this neat "Friend's Map" thing that he wanted people to sign up for. The post talk about the same topic over and over. 2pts

Although it has the purple and white color scheme, it does have a paid lj layout. This is an public journal and the comments are edited and anyone is welcome to comment. This layout isn't very attractive and maybe a use of more color would attractive more
