I might be interested if I had any idea what this was about. As it it, I have zero idea. If you could tell us what you're doing...even a subject or topic, that would really help.
It's a academic and theatrical experiment and adventure.
Exploring the idea of the self in a forum inw hich there can be no definitative self due the lack of a body.
How one interacts with different people depends entirely on their relationship. When one interacts with strangers it depends on the situation they are meeting in.
As there is no virtual meeting. What are your preseptions? Preconceptions. Responses.
I'm getting tired of trying to interpret your speech. Either you are purposly talking about nothing or English is your second language.
"academic" Meaning the study of things?? So what are you going to teach? What subject?
"theatrical" As in acting in a theatre? Acting what? A play? About what?
"Exploring the idea of the self in a forum in which there can be no definitative self due the lack of a body." Does that not apply to all the time on the interent?
"How one interacts with different people depends entirely on their relationship. When one interacts with strangers it depends on the situation they are meeting in." This is an obvious statement about life...what does this have to do with my topic??
"As there is no virtual meeting." First of all, there is no verb in this sentence!! So we aren't meeting over the internet. Then what are we doing???
"What are your preseptions? Preconceptions. Responses" To what?? About what?? About nothing because that is all you've said in this post.
So this project is about performativity and pomo identity? The fragmentation of the self as witnessed through the medium of livejournal?
I think I see where this is going, on an academic level. But performance projects are nothing without structure, and performativity is empty without backbone.
Unless, perhaps, the inherent nature of identity is all in the surface and presentation to you, and the exact details of the project don't matter, since the fact that you've even made these announcements is the point. I'd be willing to entertain that idea. How postmodern of you.
(P.S. I don't intend to be snarky, but a quick run through the LiveJournal spell checker couldn't hurt.)
It did not come across as snarky at all. It was articulate.
And you have indeed understood my concept in essence. Which is all that could be achieved from my vague ramblings.
The project has not begun. I am merely gathering an audience and setting up a forum. If I were to explain in full detail aims, outlines, direction and assumed outcome it would become futlie.
I hope to explain enough so as one feels involved but leave enough open to keep intrigue.
