On sports and my own dorkdom
Michigan State just totally rocked University of Illinois, 61-14. Yes, I'm talking about football. And this prospect - a winning team - has me excited. I know, I know, I'm a loser for caring about sports, for liking the violence and athleticism and competitive spirit that makes up a great football game. So fucking what. I like it. It's fun. And the Spartans are now 4 wins, 0 losses, and since I have chosen, from a young age, to root for that team, I am happy that they are doing so well.
MSU beat Notre Dame last week. And I hate Notre Dame. Seeing them lose also makes me happy, so that's two happy things in one game. Granted, it's a mild, fleeting happiness, a thrill, shall we say - but a thrill's a thrill, and that's good. Fuckin' A.
Yay for big guys in armor hitting each other. Yay for football.
