This morning started too early and went too long. We talked about F. Scott Fitzgerald in American Lit, which was interesting but it’s always hard to concentrate on Wednesdays because class is so dang early (yes, 9 o’clock is early. It’s college, okay?). Then I had two hours to kill before my Criminal Justice seminar. The internet wasn’t working so I sat in the library and read a book I have to read for American Lit (White Noise, by Don DeLillo. No relation to the film, as far as I know). I was so sleepy by 10:15 that I took a little nap in the study cubicle thing I was in. Felt good. The criminal justice seminar was boring boring boring and I didn’t learn anything new and I had to sit through other people telling me what I already knew (between the awkward silences). Utterly pointless. But anyway, that’s the last of them, so it’s all right.
Got the bus home but because it’s student union elections today, the buses can’t come up into the village. So I had to walk up a large hill before getting to the large hill I usually walk up. Not fun, but I guess I worked up an appetite…
Watched the series finale of SG-1 over my peanut butter and jam sandwich. Whoa. I am really really sad that it’s over, but really really pleased with the ending. I had trouble doing anything for the next two hours or so because it really hit my emotional buttons.
I tried to edit my Huck Finn paper but, while I’m not terribly pleased with it, I can’t find anything specific to change. *sigh* I’ll keep looking at it. I aim to hand it in Monday or Tuesday. Friday if I’m really keen.
Then I worked on my vid for a while and now I’m getting ready to go make dinner. Hamburger, to use up my last bun, and peas on the side. Cookie for dessert. (The Tesco bakery cookies are SO GOOD). I might watch “Unending” again because it was just that good.
