I found money again! 10p, which was really cool. I’ve had a bit of a dry spell, so that kind of perked me up. Especially after Criminal Justice, which I’m really getting to…dislike. It’s bad enough that it’s at 3 on a Friday, which is really hard to even make yourself GO to, but then the lecturers are like, grad students studying to be teachers and the one guy (who lectured two weeks ago and again today) is really kind of obvious about it. Like he starts his lectures with a recap, and then does aims & objectives of the lesson, and then goes through his powerpoints and pretty much reads them off. *sigh* Oh, and when he asks a question and no one answers, he’ll grin nervously for a few seconds and then just plow on anyway. I feel bad for him, but really…
Anyway, we had half a class of lecture and half of guest speaker today. The speaker was the Governor of Swansea Prison or something like that, not really sure what that means, but he was cool. Didn’t back down in the face of some severe opposition (he did bring up capital punishment) and was quite articulate, although it took me a few minutes to adjust to his thick Welsh accent.
Before class, I worked on my Huck Finn paper and got a considerable ways with it. I struck upon a novel idea, too, to work in FDR’s “Four Freedoms” since the paper is about how freedom is central to Huck Finn. Anyway, I’m happy with it so far.
Not sure what to have for dinner tonight, a hamburger or spaghetti. I think I’ll go with the hamburger since my buns expire rather soon. (Don’t you say a word, Jeana.)
