Summary: FAQ 24 contains a link to the Edit Journal Privacy tool that I think, with a little rewording, would be better linking to FAQ120.

We were discussing stock answers over in entries, and I saw that there was a stock answer discussing the icon for custom groups and the fact that that info now displays. I figured it must have been added to the FAQ by now!

The only place the 'Edit Journal Privacy' tool is mentioned, is in the ' How do I make all my journal entries Friends-Only, Private, or Public?' FAQ, as far as I can tell.

What the FAQ doesn't explain, is that the tool has no effect on entries that use Custom Friends Groups. In order to verify this I had to go all the way back to the original paidmembers ( Read more... )

Filtering by entry security (/security/public, /security/private, /security/friends, /security/group:groupname) is not in any of the FAQs. Therefore, I propose that it be added to FAQ 24, as that is the closest I can find as it deals with security levels in general. Because people can use a little more nudging sometimes...

Would it make sense to add an extra link at the end of FAQ 50 to point to FAQ 120, and not just to FAQ 24? Something like,

* Make your existing entries Friends-only or Private, and set the minimum security level of your journal so that new entries are protected ( Read more... )

Cleaning these FAQs up significantly so they make a bit more sense to someone trying to do one of these tasks (the grouping of the information doesn't make much sense from a user standpoint.)

The 1st link in the 'Further Reading' section of FAQ24 links to the non-existent FAQ35.
