Re. posting an entry using the HTML editor:

Why did the font change? It is very difficult on the eyes. It is too damn small! PLEASE CHANGE IT!!!!

Er, the HTML editor font got larger and non-fixed width with the rich text editor changes a couple months ago, and now is back to where it was previously.

Actually, no, it is different. And much, much harder to read. It is not the same font as the one used to make comments.

It definitely is not. It looks like a thin, unreadable dot-matrix font on mine.

"Unreadable" is a quite accurate description. My fucking eyes!!!

Seriously.

I noticed it immediately last night when I went to post an entry into a community. Freaking nightmare scenario (including all the line breaks somehow being stripped out of an HTML document when I tried to post it...)

I often write long entries and do extensive proofreading; I don't want eye strain! It certainly is a nightmare!

Yeah, like I mentioned elsewhere, while it's the same post-update for me and my browser (currently Firefox 8.0b), that's apparently not the case for everyone. :\

True. I can hardly read what I'm writing, it's terrible!

The posting font is Courier and the comment font is Courier New. I wish the posting font would go back to Courier New.

I wish it was large enough so that it is not hard on the eyes! Something about it--whether to font or size--makes it hard on the eyes.

The actual pixel size of the font is a good size, it's that Courier is a 'thin' font, the lines are thin making it harder to read where as Courier new is thicker and easier to read.

Ah, thanks. I don't have the knowledge or vocabulary of typesets to explain myself properly. I do with the size of the font used for comments was a tad larger, but at least it's not as horrid as the font for entries!

It would be great if there was an option of making the font size larger for posting entries or comments, but not increasing the size of the font for the actual entries and comments, if that makes sense.

It would be a nice feature to be able to pick what font and the size that we use. I personally prefer serif fonts over sans serif fonts so the one before Courier drove me nuts. lol.

Agreed!

That's odd. I use the web update page, and had exactly the opposite experience the other commenters are having. The font in the update page got tiny a couple of months ago, and today it went back to its old, easily readable size. It looks like fixing one of them breaks the other (or breaking one of them fixes the other.) Very strange.
