'The font of the HTML editor has been altered to a fixed-width font, similar to the commenting form.'
For some reason, this makes me incredibly happy.

I miss the 'View Profile' option in the hover menu, but oh well.

Isn't the usericon itself a view profile button? Seems redundant.

That's how it was before, and yea, it was good.

Though the resulting font looks ugly at least here (Opera, Windows XP) - as if it's using the pixely "Courier" font rather than the TrueType "Courier New" font.

And Firebug seems to imply that, too.

So I'm still a bit sadface: it's a monospace font but an ugly one.

I wonder whether "font-family: inherit" would have worked. Or just "font-family: monospace". Or an explicit "Courier New" in there.

Ah well.

Or even a setting to let the user choose their own font from a list, surely it couldn't be that hard. But mine is showing all pixelated and icky too, not all like the font in the comments box.

Too many settings clutter up the settings page, though, so adding yet another option is usually something that's only done after a lot of consideration.
