Post an Entry page
We made modifications to the "Show this entry to:" drop-down on the Post an Entry page to reflect what actually happens:
  • If the journal or community you're posting to has a minimum security set, that level will be selected and the other options grayed out. The other security options are available when you edit the entry, since ( Read more... )

The Footer looks so much better and well organised: it's great!

And the "Show this entry to:" drop-down menu is really neat as well. I especially like the Friends -> Members when posting to comms and not showing lower securities if there's a minsecurity set. (Which I just realised is the whole point about it anyway, so I like it all!)

I don't like the footer - takes up so much space at the bottom. I prefer it to be smaller.

Agreed. That's just too much of stuff I don't need. The bolded headers are all that's really needed and the language choice should be a preference in the Viewing Options or in the header somewhere not in the footer of all places which is the last place someone would look for changing a language setting. Unless you're trying to be like facebook and myspace who put that at the bottom.

Yes.

Additionally, I think the LJ Labs pimping is unnecessary for a minisitemap.

The bigger font, with the grey instead of blue... it looks out of place.

Yeah. That's another thing that was bugging me. The LJ Labs just doesn't belong and looks too much, like, oh, I don't know... AN AD which as a Perm account holder, I don't wanna see.

I just checked out the footer, and wow, that is clunky. And the colours are very weird. You've got white page, clunky grey stripe, and then white again for the copyright bit - the whole thing doesn't look like a footer, more like a random grey stripe across the page.

But the minsecurity bit is utterly awesome. Thank you! :-)

Why is the footer background gray when the colour scheme in the header is blue? Besides being plain ugly it doesn't make any sense at all.
