It seems like corporate types look at MySpace, see an enormous money-making machine, and say, "Hey, we should make LJ more like MySpace!"

And they have. Dear God, they have.

I hope LiveJournal Inc. realizes that some of us are on LJ specifically because we hate MySpace.

I totally agree.

Those widgets things on Facebook are obnoxious and I swear, if I start getting requests to become a fucking Werewolf on LJ as well, someone is going to die.

Create widgets functionality (e.g. profile, latest posts, stats)
Is this why my Last.fm widget works on my profile now?

Establish a clear set of policy guidelines
Glad to see this; it's something we've needed for a while.

Increase certain limits for Basic and Plus accounts
What kind of increases? Anything we can know about having in the works, at least?

No kidding! I'd like some more icon space, myself.

Agreed. The icons are the best feature imo. I'm glad the Plus accounts are staying. I'm hoping the take surveys for gift certificates feature stays also. I totally love that survey feature. It's one of the best additions yall have added to the site.

I would like to know how permanent accounts will be affected, if at all. They will be recognized as permanent accounts still, correct?

Yes. This is something I want to know about. (Stated in case SUP and LiveJournal Inc. think others aren't curious as well)

Permanent Accounts will always be Permanent Accounts - that won't change.

What's this flag for commercial shit? Are you saying people can't sell stuff on LJ?

I suspect it is more along the lines of people like myself who don't like seeing advertisements on certain communities and to give us a way to filter that kind of thing out.

Totally OT, but I had to ask: do you know what artist the art in your icon is from? It's gorgeous.

I second this comment! Must look up this artist's work.

So paid users, the ones who actually put money into the company, get nothing? Wow, I'm already annoyed and it's been five minutes. That didn't take long.

Agreed.

And I'm sorry but flagging commercial and offensive content? Like what people post in their friends only or private JOURNALS?? Are you kidding me??

For real. That's absolute bullshit. It defeats the purpose of having a blog in the first place.
