Still no fix for the LJarchive comment export error issue?

I have doubts they are going to fix this. I haven't been able to back up my journal using ANYTHING that exports for months now. It's their lowest priority I think.

Does it work when you export everything to a dreamwidth account though or is that also broken, that you know of?

http://dw-maintenance.dreamwidth.org/38097.html

"Due to a change LJ made yesterday afternoon in how they process cookies and logins, some aspects of our crossposter and importer will not work at the moment: [...] If you are importing content from LiveJournal, and choose to import your comments as well as your entries, the process will fail."

So even Dreamwidth can't export LJ comments right now. (They're working on restoring that capability.)

Backing up entries that way may work, though.

'The font of the HTML editor has been altered to a fixed-width font, similar to the commenting form.'
For some reason, this makes me incredibly happy.

I miss the 'View Profile' option in the hover menu, but oh well.

Isn't the usericon itself a view profile button? Seems redundant.

Darn it, the view journal and view profile links were the only ones I ever used. And the menu's a lot bigger and more unwieldy now.

ETA: I'm also having some weird things going on - I can only see the userpic in the hover menu for some people and not for others. In addition, on my friends' page, all the entries are showing up with the poster's default userpic (or what I assume is their default userpic, since there's no longer any easy way to go to their profile to check...) rather than the one they used, even though it shows up correctly when I go to the actual community or journal.

This is happening for me too.

ETA: you can view someone's journal by clicking on their name. And someone's profile by clicking on the user icon.

Thanks for pointing that out. The only problem is that in most cases the user icon in the hover menu isn't showing up for me.

Re. posting an entry using the HTML editor:

Why did the font change? It is very difficult on the eyes. It is too damn small! PLEASE CHANGE IT!!!!

Er, the HTML editor font got larger and non-fixed width with the rich text editor changes a couple months ago, and now is back to where it was previously.

Actually, no, it is different. And much, much harder to read. It is not the same font as the one used to make comments.

It definitely is not. It looks like a thin, unreadable dot-matrix font on mine.

Ohhh, I don't like the new hover menu D: I'm finding I have to scroll my page back up to view everything when it pops up, if that makes sense? the menu is huge and it appears above the userpic instead of below and for some reason this doesn't fit with my scrolling habits or something D:

But I'm glad the problems with the line breaks in the HTML editor have been fixed - thanks!

Hmm, it appears below and to the right of my cursor for me. You should submit a support ticket with your browser information.

It's kind of all over the place for me D: I don't know if it's meant to be that way - it might depend on how far down the page I've scrolled. But I'm finding a lot of the time I have to scroll back up to see the full menu or it gets cut off. :( I'll live; it's just a petty nuisance, that's all :p
