Hmm, maybe I should do a life update, seeing as how I really, um, haven't in ages? School goes well, gonna be a teacher (HS bio w00t). 8 units this quarter of just-for-fun anthropology, which equals a paper due in a week that I haven't started and only have a vague idea of what I could possibly write about. Whatever, getting A's on tests is totally worth the unnecessary work. Next quarter I'll be doing some internship for teaching, hopefully. And taking anthro. Cuz it's fun. Ya rly.
I'm actually enjoying the way my cell bio class is being taught this quarter, logically and from the ground up. It's extremely information dense, so I should probably be going to office hours to clear up questions from my notes, but there hasn't been anything Google hasn't been able to clear up for me so far. Plus all of the graded work for the class is take-home, so there's much less pressure, and I can work on the hard problems on my own time.
I voted a few weeks ago (hooray for absentee ballots). You should take advantage of early voting in your area because they're expecting a high turnout this year. Not sure if that's going to continue on Monday. This election is important, and more so than just for the presidential race. California is one of those states where you can vote whichever way you'd like, but the race is still going to go to the Democrat. HOWEVER there are TONS of very important propositions on the ballot this year. There are also lots of senate races in other states that will determine the senate majority. Do your research, figure out what's important to you, and VOTE VOTE VOTE! (okay so you can only vote once, but you get the picture. Get your friends to vote! You get stickers!)
Definitely treated my voter info guide and sample ballot as a study sheet/sample test. It took about three hours and some pens and highliters. Give it the time it deserves. And VOTE!
