The latest crisis...advise me, oh great journalers

Gee, I really should write in this thing more often rather than waiting until things have piled up too hugely to know where to begin writing.

So, my parents are moving to California. There's the gist of it. How exciting. Ah, but so complicated. My Dad got offered a job as the chairman of the Electrical Engineering department at California State University - Chico (a little north of Sacramento) when he was there at a conference (or some such thing). And, hey, he accepted it! Which is really quite aweseome, especialyl because he can retire fully from UT this year and so it's like getting 2 incomes sorta and, oh my, it's California!

But honestly, now! It's all so soon! They move this summer from Toledo and he starts August 1st. Wow. I put Toledo down at times and all, but it's actually been quite good to me. I'll miss all you guys who forced me to get this journal thing! Even though I don't really see you much anyway. (Seriously though, we have to do soemthing together before the move). Huh, 20 years. In fact I'll miss it a lot, I think.

Ah but that is not the full trouble of it all. I was planning on studying abroad in Syria this summer to finish up my Arabic minor. It would, no doubt, be an aweseome and quite exciting experinece. However, it's making things so craaaaaaaaaazay. The way it would work out is this:
June 9th: go home right after last final exam AND be entirely moved out of my apartment and into storage into Columbus for the new apartment next year
June 16th: Fly off to Syria from Toledo
August 21st: Fly home from Syria to Chico, CA, hence missing the entire choosing of the new house and the move and all chances of saying goodbye to Toledo friends
September 9th: Fly to and move into the new Columbus apartment (hmm, early and alone).
September 10th: Begin LSAT course
September 21st: Start classes

Do you recognize the insanity? One one level I certainly want to go to Syria...I would even be able to graduate a quarter early if so. However, I also really want to be involved in this move and such. Oh my my my. Well I must decide tonight. How exciting. OK, let me know if you have any revelations.
