 I was looking up reviews of Melissa Etheridge’s new cd the Awakening, and ran across a review of a compilation cd she had participated in (tribute to Dolly Parton). The review said the ME “forgoes her usual Joplinesque vocal style..” and I thought, “hmm, I never thought Melissa had much in common with Scott Joplin’s musical style.”
