life...

Well... I don't hate Ale, I love him. Lots. Haha. I can be so completely irrational. Everyone, check out my fotolog - there are fotos of the babies there. www.fotolog.com/lizzytinky

Love Casa Mantay and the babies. Love Sandy, love the girls and everyone there. Everyone is sick though, at the moment. The stuff at the clinic -San Juan de Dios- that I've done the past two mornings with kids with disabilities is a bit of a joke, they don't actually need volunteers. All you do is sit and play with the kids and the nurses do anything that needs doing. Don't know if I'll go again, I don't like feeling useless.

It's funny though, I just finished talking to a girl from Austria, Anna, who did an exchange in Australia a year or two before I went to Austria. It's funny how similar are the things we've done since. She has travelled massively and did a huge trip to South America, almost exactly the same route that I have done. She went back home then came back to Argentina and is studying there now, because of her boyfriend who is Argentine. We are going to catch up when I go back to Argentina, she wants me to stay with her. But I think both Dani and Martin too will want me to stay too. Can't obviously, with Martin cos of Alejandro. That would be a little weird. But I want to see them all, and all the other porteños that I have met and loved on my trip. But how funny it is, how similar is what we are doing. And I have been thinking of doing an exchange as well to South America with Uni, cos I love it so much. And Anna told me that Colombia is the best, which I'd heard great things about anyway, so I'm looking foward to that lots.

My tummy has been cramping lots today. I hope I don't get the parasites that everyone tells me I'm bound to get  here. The water is appalling, everyone who lives here has to take treatments for the parasites every year at least and it kills their livers. And even if you boil the water like most people do, it doesn't kill it all because with the altitude water boils at a lower temperature. Argh.. I don't want to take more antibiotics. But it would be a miracle if I don't get them, especially as one of the babies at work has them particularly bad at the moment. Anyway, enough parasite talk.
