I finally finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows today. I started reading it yesterday after my sister finished it.

Of course there are spoilers and whatnot behind the cut.

I would love to read what you guys thought about it, too.

And can I please say how BADASS NEVILLE WAS.

HELL YES. neville was pretty much the hero of the entire series, because without nagani dead, voldemort could never have died. sure, harry had a little duel with voldemort (which mostly consisted of talking... why wouldn't voldemort just play dirty and fire a spell while harry was talking?), but neville totally deserves credit.

oh, xeno lovegood. so bizarre. i loved his conversation with luna about the gnome saliva.

you think you've said a ton? i have like 4x more rants & maniacal ravings then you. hehe.

haha, be warned; most of my thoughts are interrupted by my anger that lupin&tonks are dead, and they didn't even get a paragraph. just harry every couple pages saying 'oh, i'm so sad. fred, lupin and tonks are dead' *explodes*

...so, yeah. hehe

I know, right? Like, Lupin was so awesome. We had known about him since book 3 and he was a marauder, etc etc and all he gets is like a little sentence acknowledging his and Tonks' death. Ughhh I love Lupin.

Why Fred, J.K. Rowling? I couldn't believe that Fred died.

Same goes with Lupin. Lupin was by far one of my favorite characters and said several times that I would be so pissed off if he got killed but in a way I had subconsciously expected it.

I couldn't stop crying when Dobby died. The way she wrote it was so sad, using words like little body

OH I know! Dobby's death was also a heavy blow when I read it. He had done so much for Harry and I could hardly take it.
I am so glad that J.K. emphasized the deep love Harry really had for Dobby when he dug the grave and how Harry couldn't have wished for a more beautiful place for Dobby to be burried. Ahh so sad!

I wish we had a little more closure with Lupins & Tonks' deaths, even we if we did get a little through the resurrection stone.

Yes! That's exactly what I would have loved to see! I needed some sort of closure with Lupin. So sad.
