Remember that swan down at Heritage Park? I paid him a visit today on my lunch break, and decided to try and take a video of him. Being the prissy bird that he is, of course he obliged. He swam up to me, then climbed out of the water and started following me. You'll hear my giggles as he does this. *g*

I had a potential customer call today, asking about advertising. It was a frustrating conversation, because she was as dense as they come. She didn't know what a classified ad is. Had no idea. I had a customer yell at me this morning over .9". Point. Nine. Inches. Said we were practicing deceptive advertising because our one-coumn ads are 1.929" across while the columns are 2". Insisted on this even after my boss explained to him that they have to leave a little room so that the ads don't run into each other. Said he was going to call ( Read more... )

I am shocked and appalled (appalled, I tell you!) at how many people give me their credit card numbers over a cell phone while they're driving. That's bad on two counts! And they're admitting to it!

Some of my customers are such size queens. They call or come in and say that they want their ad to be bigger, or as big as that guy's ad, or something along those lines. It's quite comical. I exercised my rights this morning and went to vote in the primary. After much consideration, I finally decided on Obama; even though I think Hillary is just as good a choice, I think she's too divisive. I think Obama has a better chance of winning. I kind of hope that, if he wins the nomination, he picks her as his running mate (and vice-versa). ( Read more... )
