On my way to work this morning, my car died at a stop sign. Just quit. Wouldn't start up again. "Oh crap," were my words, I think. Followed by pleading with my car, to no avail.
*sigh*
So I called AAA, and settled in for the wait. At least eight people stopped and asked if I needed help/ was OK. The people around here are nice.
The requisite kid with bad teeth playing country music in the truck showed up, and towed me to my mechanic, who is around the corner from my office. As I started walking to said office, it started to rain. The tow truck driver gave me a ride, bless his little country-music-loving heart.
The mechanic called me while I was eating lunch, and the verdict was a faulty crankshaft sensor, which I didn't even know my car had. He could fix it today, thank goodness, and the cost was $245. Which I can't afford, but it could have been so much worse. So I'll eat PB&J for lunch for a while.
*sigh*
On the way home, I saw

Thank you, Mother Nature. <3
