short day, long week

When I woke up this morning, I was thinking "It can't possibly only be Wednesday." And yet it was. Between my coworker being out for three days and the weather being dismal, this week has seemed endless.
At least it didn't rain all day. It just looked like it was going to rain all day.
I love when we get the stamp club news, because they always use such interesting stamps. I was afraid that was going to be the highlight of my day, until I thought I heard a boom somewhere around 2:00, and a couple of minutes later the lights went out. A peek outside confirmed it wasn't just us, and a coworker's call to her kids confirmed it was most of town. Around 2:30, the boss man decided it wasn't going to get fixed anytime soon, and sent us all home. Whoopee! Suddenly, my day got better.
I got my grocery shopping done, and went for a nice walk. So much better than sitting alone in the office, trying to get stuff done while answering the phones and dealing with people walking in.
