Yes, there are still roses blooming in Stanley Park! Not many, and a lot of them are pretty sad looking, but there is beauty still in the rose garden.
I saw a heron along the edge of the river, and really wished that I had
that Nikon with the 24x zoom. This is as close as I could get before he flew away, and this is a crop.
After seeing hoofprints numerous times, I actually saw horses today.
Along one path lined with huge pines, the smaller shrubs had clusters of needles all over them like tinsel.
Most of the trees are bare now.
This beech in the herb garden, however, was glowing with its copper leaves.
I saw the horses again on the way out.
One more rose:
I did three loads of laundry (!) when I got home, and went for another walk. What a gorgeous day!
