cluture shock

my auntie Nelly was in Toronto for a few days and just left.  I didn't really see too much of her but she managed to get into my head a bit. I've always said nobody gets under your skin like family.
you see the problem is my moms sister is extremely pushy. kinda like an angry dog. at one point I even told her she would make a great police detective. she was asking some hard questions like  'what are you doing with your life?' and 'where's your girlfriend'. Valid questions for sure, just asked in a way that was a bit offensive. we had a chanve to talk again yesterday before ahe left and the reasonig became a bit more clear. she told me that many had prayed for my arrival. a zulu bishop had even fasted. she told me that my middle name Ndumiso means the psalms. in the days that havevfollowed her visit I'm left thinking how am I ever supposed to live up to this hype? how would I even begin at 30 yrs old to assimilate a culture. maybe that's something i can try to think about tomorrow (or next week). for today I'm happy to be where I'm at. I'm right where I'm supposed to be.
