Hoo boy

So, kids, it's been awhile and I haven't been so good with this updating thing.  For the record, though, I will have regular internet access by the 10th, hopefully, so this will get better and I"ll be able to email you guys again, and therefore I wlil stop sucking at life.

Things have been going pretty well over here.  Classes are challenging but good.  I feel like I'm learning, and more importantly UNDERSTANDING, a lot more here, which is good.  i've been making a lot of friends here and that's been good, too.  No hiding alone in my room and playing video games all day or anything like that.

The point of this entry, however, is for PICTURES!  From our halloween party.  If you're on facebook you'll have already seen these, but if you're not, here you go!  The halloween party was a blast, and everyone there was so much fun.  We played a bunch of canadian party games, including the Hand Game, the Bunnybunny game, and the Wupwup game.  AHHAHA, those were great.   But anyway, here are the pictures.  I'm going to be naming everyone's nationality just because one of the coolest things about going to Doshisha is that it's an INTERNATIONAL center, and therefore we are surrounded by people from dozens of different countries.  As an anthropologist this just blows my mind.  I pretty much have an anthropologasm everytime I think about this.  So, anyway, pictures.

Dom from Germany is on the left, Dustin from Canada is in the middle, and Josh from Australia is on the right.  They all live in the same dorm, and decided to come as ping pong players.

'Cept they got trounced by Charlotte from England :D

That's Sarah from California on the left, me in the middle, and Charlotte on the right.  Yay, weird camera angle!

This is Soo Hyun (whose name I apparently can't spell right), she's Korean, and she's the fifth floor's leader.  She's amazing.

This is Moe from Germany, he came as a giant Japanese radish (a daikon) and for that he is my hero.

Here's all of us together.. I don't think I can name everyone, but the girl in the green dress is Tam from England, and everyone else is already mentioned.  I'm the one in the Strong Tiger mask :-P.

Pheng from France is wearing the bunny ears, while Dom wears Strong Tiger and apparently molests Pheng.  Bad touch, bad touch, no means no!

Strong Tiger Dom is dynamic.

Aww, isn't Pheng just the cutest little thing!

Strike a pose!

This is probably my favorite photo of the night.  That's Moe trying to eat the wand, if you guys can't tell.

This is a picture of the Wupwup game, and the video below is a little snapshot of it.  I have a couple more videos from the party, but I have to ask Moe, Josh, and Lionel before I put them up.. this one is probably my favorite though :D

photos, halloween, japan, friends
