1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
So much! Lets see. Got married. Graduated from College with a real graduation ceremony including cap and gown. Went to Europe. Got my first, and second real full-time jobs.
02. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any last year, so I guess I kept them. I'm generally not a super resolutiony kinda person, but I have a few for this year.
03. Did someone close to you give birth?
Karissa and Jen
04. Did anyone close to you die?
My nephew Logan
05. Where did you go on vacation?
Just my fabulous honeymoon in Greece & London. Then to Vegas 3 times for fun, twice for work. Once to NYC for work, but it was still fun.
06. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Time and sanity. It's already started happening the last half of 09, but I feel like I am in still in recovery from the craziness that was my life. I am figuring out how to live normally, not in constant overdrive.
07. What days are particularly memorable from 2009?
Feb. 18th - the day Jen lost Logan. It's a sadness I'll never forget.
June 12th - the day I graduated from college
July 4th - my wedding day, and a spectacular one at that.
July 6/7th (depending on time zone) - our first step into Europe and introduction to world travel
08. What was your biggest achievement(s) of the year?
Graduating from College. While getting married is a big deal, it's not really and achievement, it's a decision. Throwing a wedding is a lot of work, but it's not like going to college. After 20 years of school I can finally say I achieved the goal I had set for myself as a kindergartner.
09. What was your biggest failure(s)?
I don't think 2009 was a big failure year for me. I guess the way my whole living situation with the roommate ended was not great, and we've had some financial ups and downs for sure, but nothing we can't and haven't overcome.

I had a miscarriage, if that counts. And swine flu. In las vegas.
11. What was the best thing you bought?

A lot of people. Mike for working so hard and finally getting into school.

All my major life-events
16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
I am really bad with knowing the names of songs so I'd have to hum it for you.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you
i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? probably the same. Perhaps a tad thinner as I'm thinking I lost a little wight this past week.
iii. richer or poorer? richer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
saving money. I couldn't have done more of anything else that I did or I would have exploded.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stressing out, FOR SURE. Big lesson that what will be will be.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Mike's family for xmas eve/morning, and my family for Xmas night/next day.

I'm kind of a TV buff. True Blood, Big Love, Dexter, Mad Men, Lost.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't spend enough time thinking about people I no longer care for to hate them. There is a major loss of respect and friendship that comes to mind for 2 peeps, but it's in the past.
25. What was the best book you read in 2009?
I actually read all the Twilight books in 2008, so I think the best book I read was the Time Traveler's Wife.

My iphone? Dang got that in 2008 too. Ok so nothing.

All our quotes from Las Vegas in March: "Came here 3000 miles, just to find out she's a full-fledged fuckin hooker" "Even if you use it as toilet paper you got your money's worth!" "Too much too soon". Seriously one of the best times of my life.
28. What did you want and not get?
A house. I have wanted that for a long time, and probably will not get it for a few years, but that is ok. Once we are both educated fools we'll get it going.
29. Favorite film of this year?
Sex & the City, Slumdog Millionare, and New Moon (just because I was so excited for it)

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I can't even come up with anything.

I didn't meet a lot of new people, no one that stands out anyway. Miss Macey is the best literally new person I met! Just made new connections with old friends.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
Hard work can really pay off. Goals can be attained. The loss of my pregnancy taught me to take things as they come and try to be more patient, my whole life doesn't have to happen at once. And, that sometimes there are things I just can't control.
39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
unforgettable, that's what you are
