Week Seven - Entry. Random Poetry

Apr 08, 2009 12:37

I have a bit of a weird week which caused my imagination to go into overdrive in my commonplace book big time... here are two of my favourites, so far without title:

An imagined line, a drawn figure
A written sign, image without form
holding together the
pieces of
this song
beat, heart beat
heart beat, beat, overtime
sounds of ghostly wails, the banshees cry,
a harsh tone, the running footsteps of the
double bass
through this piano made forest
of unseen dreams.

A birthday passed
is in the past
aging is in the seconds
for us mere mortals
while the unknown gods look down
in a wonder! - blame us?!
daring aren't you? evolution your theory, eh -
whatever helps you sleep til the end, dears.
Our purged despair is after all
so much harder to cope with!
Good luck to all, and all a swift mercy...
death is, after all, only kind once.

Yes they're a bit strange, but so am I. I'll cope.
