ahhhhhh
last night, marissa, grant, and i went [almost] downtown to see the motorcycle diaries. we'd missed the train, and we had to drive through the rain to the crowded, obscure little west village. we ended up being about 30 minutes late, but my love for this movie is so great that i went to see it anyway.
the motorcycle diaries has been out since the end of august. before then i'd read some reviews of it, and i already knew that this would be one of my favorite movies, ever.
a) the story of a young med student who travels 8,000 miles of south america on a motorcyle with his friend to explore the continent and help poor people
b) beautiful cinematography, landscape, music, script [mmm spanish], you name it
c) beautiful GAEL GARCIA BERNAL
this movie embodies everything i'd want in a movie. not only is it romantic and beautiful, but it's like watching my dreams unfold on the silver screen. THAT is what i want to do with my life. and it's not too heavy; there's enough lightheartedness to balance things out. even the little things got me, like his quoting neruda. latin americans are so sexy!
anyway, yes, i'm definitely seeing this movie a few more times, especially since i missed the intro. i'm in love! :)
