I only skated for about 35 minutes today because the rink was horrible. I came downstairs this morning to find one of those 'do not bend' card backed envelopes waiting for me and could not for the life of me think what it was. I thought it might be my long overdue Bond Solon certificate but am pretty sure that should go to work and not here. Today I have done some last minute extra present shopping (and wrapped the presents), delivered a few presents and cards, made a beautiful trifle (of the kind that doesn't have icky sponge fingers, jelly or cream), wiped and defragged the hard disk DVD recorder and fixed the DVD recorder so when you ask for channel 4 you get channel 4 instead of ( Read more... )

Yesterday was my day-to-myself trip to London. I got up stupidly early to be in town to get the 8:20 coach I was booked on and managed to make it to the coach station at 8:00… and promptly end up on the 8:05 coach which had a few spare seats and most other people (who had been there longer than me) had funfares which mean you can only get the coach ( Read more... )

I went shopping this morning and seem to have spent quite a lot of money. I didn't find any jeans, but I did get Easter eggs for the boys, new blank videos (though I think the recorder is the problem, not the vids), some cheap t shirts and t shirt transfer paper to try and make a t shirt for the DoI tour, birthday cards, and a present for Andy. Um... I just spent £170 on two Spice Girls tickets. WHY?!?!? I don't even have anyone to go with. (Offers?). The original date sold out stupidly quickly but they released more and I know I'll either spend the next few months whinging about how poor I am, or pouting that I'm not going.
