I finally got round to watching Kiss of Death today, despite the fact it was actually on at the end of May. I only watched it because it had Louise Lombard in it and it was a bit painful... I think if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have persevered. The camera work annoyed me for about the first 20 minutes until I got used to them randomly only focussing on one person. None of the characters were that likeable and the whole thing was just angst filled! Louise's accent confused me too... I don't know if I've heard too much of her almost American accent in CSI so her English accent just sounds weird in comparison or if it actually was weird - it seemed to slip back into Sofia at some points (though I can understand her being confused, it was like CSI Curtis and Detective Curtis in one) and an English that isn't her natural accent at others. I felt bad for her at times and at others her character was just rude, but they pretty much all were! The fate of Leonora Critchlow's character was predictable too. I think the show had promise but just couldn't quite pull it off.
