So hot right now...

Tonight was AMAZING!

1) Dalia is here! Nothing like being reunited with a best friend after five months apart. I missed her soooo much!
2) INCUBUS CONCERT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
3) There are crazy drunken women at every show Dalia and I go to... I swear.

The drive to Tampa was fun. We listened to Incubus the whole way, found our way to the Ice Palace (I refuse to call it the St. Pete Times Forum) with no trouble, found great parking, and before we knew it we were inside. Now, as far as I knew, our tickets were on the second level because I had to wait a couple weeks before purchasing them because of my lost wallet. Well, when we got there, they sent us to the second level, only to get tickets that were for the first level... weird. Turns out that they didn't sell out or something, so those ones with nosebleeds (like us) got tickets for the first level instead. We ended up with AMAZING seats. The best tickets I've ever had to a concert (not counting GA at House of Blues). I could see Brandon really well, even without the binoculars that we borrowed from the guys sitting in front of us (although I certainly didn't mind getting a closer look.. *ahem*).

Only one opening act, so Incubus started at 8:30ish. Oooh man. It was my first time ever seeing them, so I was stoked.

They played a LOT of my favorites (including Here in My Room, my favorite off the new album) and it lasted soooo long. They played for TWO hours. Definitely worth the $40. Highlights:

* Drum break that lasted like 15 minutes.
* Brandon's hair is really long right now. Hot.
* Brandon slowly undressed as the concert went on. As Dalia said: "One button at a time!" By the last six songs or so, he was shirtless and I think every girl in the audience was swooning.
* Brandon + hair in ponytail = even hotter.
* The lighting: SOOOOO cool. Coordinated really well with the songs.
* Holy cow, they're amazing live. Brandon's voice is even more impressive live. Love, love, love his voice.

BUT... when it came time for the encore, they hadn't played my all-time favorite: I Miss You, or Dalia's favorite: Pardon Me, or Lucia's favorite (Dalia was going to call her): Warning. Encore came and went and none of those songs were played. NOT cool. How can they not play I Miss You or Pardon Me? They even played DRIVE. Come on! Drive was soooo overplayed on the radio, even though it was a good song. YARR.

We were outta Tampa by 11 and back in Gainesville just before 1AM. Stopped at "CalChiGri" even though I didn't know Jonathan was working. He paid for my food again. BAH! He's too fast for me.

GREAT night, even if I'm still really sad they didn't play I Miss You. That was the first song by Incubus that I liked and the lyrics are just so amazing. *sigh* Hopefully next time!!!!
