What's left of the flag...

Flogging Molly was freakin' amazing, as always!

Rachel, Mishaw and I drove to Orlando this evening to the House of Blues, chatting and listening to various CDs along the way. As we were standing at the will-call window, I looked over and happened to spot Shannon and Katelyn (friends from high school that now go to UCF) standing in the other line. So I went up behind Shannon and covered her eyes and Katelyn started freaking out. LOL. So we chatted with them in line, but lost them once we got inside.

And the security guard that checked Katelyn and I was a bitch. She made Katelyn throw away her gigantic safety pin keychain thingy and then made a snide comment to me about my keys: "I don't understand why people who aren't allowed to drink always have bottle openers. " (referring to my psp keychain). I contemplated saying something like: "Actually, I'm DD tonight, thanks." just to put her back in her place. Yarr.

Opening acts weren't anything special. We staked out spots and just chatted when we could. FINALLY Flogging Molly came on. They're so energetic and fun and each time I see them I love them even more. Some insanely tall guy came and stood just at the perfect spot to block our view of the stage. And then stayed there for a good 3-4 songs. I wanted to chuck something at him, but I didn't want to get kicked out =(. Finally he sat down and we could see again. Although, crazy drunken dancing lady was there again (oh, memories) and this time she was standing in front of us! lol. I called Dalia during Drunken Lullabies, so hopefully she at least heard part of it.

They played most of my favorites at the beginning, but I was getting worried because they hadn't played What's Left of the Flag before the went back before the encore. Lucky for me, they closed the concert with WLotF, which is my all-time fave. So yeah, definitely a great way to end that.

After the concert we called up Dave, since he's interning at Disney, and met him at a local Wendy's that was in walking distance from his apartment. He was BEYOND excited to see us... we ate and chatted with him for about an hour and then gave him a ride back. He's definitely been missed around Phi Sig. *tear*

Now I'm home, and still glowing about the concert.

Who knew celtic punk could be so great?
