Wow, I'm exhausted.

Tried Chipotle last night with Jonathan. He'll be disappointed to read this, but Moe's is still my favorite. Maybe if Chipotle developed their own version of the Moo-Moo Mr. Cow he'd be able convert me =).

Tailgate today was fun... stood around talking to the bros and found out that our tickets were on the 20 yard line, THREE rows up. WOOO! Scafidi, his dad and his brother were there, so I made sure to say hi to his dad. We talked hurricanes, since Charley came for me and Frances came for them.

Ok, so in all honesty, I really wasn't looking forward to the game. It was insanely hot (it's not called the Swamp for nothin', folks), it was early (and I had about 4 hours of sleep) and it was pretty much a given we'd win (we did... 49-10). But as soon as I walked up the ramp to the stadium and heard the band playing the fight song, I was PUMPED. Oh man, I looooove all our school songs. Well, not so much the Alma Mater. So I called my mom in the stadium because we were really early due to the new ticketing policy, and as we were on the phone the band started playing the fight song again. They were far too loud for her to hear me, so I just waited. I could hear her singing and clapping along on the other end, and it made me take a moment to sort of step back and think...

I have been raised a Gator. I was learning Gator cheers as soon as I could talk and have never known any other way to be. I don't really know how to explain what I'm trying to say... I've known where I was going to college by third grade. There has never been a question of where I wanted to go... as soon as I could, I applied early decision. And now I'm here... and as corny as this sounds, it really is a dream come true.

As much as I complain about how hard UF can be at times, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Along the same lines, as I was stuffing mailboxes with Phi Sig Rush fliers at Beaty towers the other night with Natalie, I was just SO thankful I received one of those letters in my mailbox. I was soooo anti-frat or sorority, so I have no idea what made me go. But I went to Rush and my life/college experience would be so entirely different without it. Despite the minor annoyances and occasional dramas, Phi Sigma Pi is one of the best things that has every happened to me and I love it so much. Ok, I think I'm going to be stop being cheesy, because this hasn't really said what I wanted it to anyway.

Our Phi Sig block was ROWDY as usual. Cooper, Travis, Oded, Oded's bro and Scafidi painted "Leak Heisman #12" on their chests... and since they were in the front row the camera guy came over and filmed them being crazy. I spent most of the game chatting with Mishaw, since Lisa and Becca2 left during the delay in order to go drink. lol. Speaking of delay... with some 8 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, they had to suspend the game due to weather. So we all sat there getting rained on (which felt oooh so good in comparison) waiting on the game to resume. Some guy ran out on the field and got chased/pinned down by like 6 cops while the crowd chanted: "Let him go!" Plus Jonathan made it down from his nosebleed seats to say hi, so that made me happy =)

Also amusing:
+ Basically all the PSP boys in the front row shouting at the East Michigan kicker... "Yeah, that's right, keep practicing for that PUNT!" and other such stuff.
+ Crazy guys that moved to sit next to us after the front emptied out from the storm... they were yelling a lot more than our boys... too funny.
+ The absolutely adorable cop that was standing right in front of us... he'd sing along to all the gator cheers but then would go back to acting all serious =). Mishaw and I fell in love with him and I'm pretty sure he knew we kept talking about him. LOL.

After the game I drove Lisa's car to take Becca2 home because Lisa was a wee bit tipsy still. It was quite an interesting walk back to the parking garage with that pair...lol. Then after a nice shower and such Lisa, Dimsey, Dimsey's friend and I went to Cracker Barrel for yummy food. I hadn't eaten all day, so it was verrrry good. Now I'm already falling asleep, but I'm going to go over to Jonathan's because very rarely does he get off work this early.

It's been a good day, considering all that could have gone wrong. lol.
