(no subject)
Yesterday was just one of those days where you realize how amazing life can be.
I went canoeing up the Silver River with Shylie, Matt Mc., Scafidi, Alli and Alli's friend Casey.
Great times included:
* The canoe on top of Shylie's car shifting diagonal... forcing us to pull over so that Matt and Scafidi could re-secure it.
* Getting absolutely soaked as it started pouring as we were unloaded our cars.
* Standing around in the rain because we didn't care.
* Eating lunch under the pavilion while waiting out the rain...
* Lightning striking a little too close for my comfort.
* Canoeing (once Shylie and I got it together and stopped zig-zagging about the place)
* getting to see CUTE LITTLE BABY MONKEYS! (they aren't native, but somehow, they're there!)
* watching Matt, Scafidi and Casey use a swing rope to jump into the river.
* riding the current down stream and actually getting to enjoy the gorgeous scenery.
* laughing at Alli/Casey as they crashed into misc. obstacles on the way home.
* laughing at Scafidi after Matt sent their canoe directly into a tree branch, causing Scafidi to fall out of his chair into the center of the canoe. All I saw were Scafidi's feet in the air...lol.
Back at home, we were exhausted. But I got to see some of the kids from my high school on their way to band camp...awwww. Then Shylie asked if I wanted to go see Allison, and I couldn't pass that up. Amadio and Alli were already there when we arrived.
Highlights:
* Allison being drunk off her ass (something tells me she's regretting that today...yeesh).
* "Caning? I thought that was only in Portugal???"- Allison
* watching the boys take so many shots I'm afraid their livers were screaming in pain.
* taking a walk with Allison around the complex, trying to sober her up.
* getting to meet Kiran, who is my great-grand-big.
* the "Amadio drunken eyes" that Scafidi told us about (I got a picture of 'em!)
* seeing both Amadio and Scafidi drunk off their asses... Waxlax looked absolutely sober in comparison.
* waxlax and more burning of things.
* scafidi trying to wrestle me down. again.
AHHHHH I completely forgot this:
* Scafidi and Amadio streaking. Then USP made an appearance, with Amadio in tow. Hi-la-rious.
Shylie took Allison back to her apartment at about 1 because the girl was just...gone. So then I rode home with Alli at around 2. It was good times, I got to meet some more of my phi sig family and other goodness. Plus I finally got to meet Amadio!!!
