*whew*
Well, I passed the SCPI! *whew* Man, that was so nerve-wrecking. I was doing all right nerves wise for the most part, waiting outside his office. Patricia, one of our TAs, walked up and talked to me a bit which kind of calmed me a little. The girl before me came out and said: "Good luck, it's FUN." Completely sarcastically. Eep!
So I sat down while he searched for a pen. He asked me if I had any questions (speaking out loud during that part) and then it started. Of course everything I'd rehearsed went out the window as soon as he started signing questions. I made stupid mistakes that I was kicking myself for, and my face was flushed, but my hands weren't shaking too badly. For whatever reason he had to spell DORM like four times before I finally understood what he was saying - Blonde moment! Then after he was done asking me questions, I had to ask him questions. Thankfully I was able to pull that off even though I had no idea that I was going to have to do that. lol.
So then after about 15 minutes of signing with each other, he told me it was over and then he typed up my form. The form basically says what I did well, what I need to improve on, etc. Then it says I have a rating of Intermediate, which means I passed at an ASL 3 level (note: I am only in ASL 2). Woot! So on my way out, I caught Gina and tried to calm her nerves a bit. Then wished her luck (she messaged me later - she passed too!). YAY! It's over!
Then after walking through Turlington about four times I finally found the Anthropology advisor's office, but he only advises undergrads on Mondays and Fridays. So I made an appointment for Monday, ran into Cushing and talked to him for a bit and then headed down the hill to the Journalism building. My journalism advisor wouldn't sign my form without having the anthropology guy sign first, so my wild-goose chase for signatures ended before it ever really began. So guess it'll have to wait until Monday... *crosses fingers*.
