HELLZ YEAH! WE BEAT TENNESSEE! AND I WAS THERE!
WOOOOOOOHOOOOO *happy dance*. Final score was 16-7, but it should have been much higher... I wish our offense would get their acts together! But no complaints, like Urban says, a win is a win and I'm not going to complain about a win ;)
I got convinced into going once a) my stomach stopped feeling queasy b) Scafidi called to tell me that I better get my ass up there and c) when I knew I would kick myself for not going if we won. It was AMAZING and I'm so glad I went.
Highlights:
-The boys picking up Chris and having him do pushups in the air whenever we scored.
- Oded heckling the Tenn. fans that were in the visitor section: "Tennessee supports terrorists! They both start with the same letter!" or "Hey, if I were a team that slept with their sisters, what team would I be?" Oh man, that kid cracks me up.
- Getting nearly knocked down the bleachers (mind you, we were in rows 83,84,85... the top row is 90) everytime we made a great play, from either Scafidi, Michael, Curtis, Cushing, Chris, Ryan, etc jumping around like mad men.
- Danny Weurffel (sp) speaking during half-time. I still (heart) him ('96 Gators!)!
- The stadium was the absolute loudest I'd EVER heard it. We definitely threw Tenn. off from all the noise more than once.
- Staying after the game, yelling the alma mater at the top of our lungs as the team made their way off the field.
- Chanting: "Urban Meyer!" as he made his way across the field.
- Walking out of the stadium with Natalie, Oded, Amos, and Scafidi, with Oded heckling more fans.
- Stopping in Turlington plaza to listen to Florida Drumline and dancing to their cadences.
- Meeting a random girl on the walk back to our cars since we were both walking alone - instant walking buddies!
- Calling Jonathan while I was waiting in traffic to share in the joy of the win, especially since he was actually AT the away game last year that we were totally robbed at. Good times =)
Now food and sleep before stadium cleanup. Why couldn't we just clean it immediately after the game? I'd much rather clean from midnight - 3 a.m. than from 7:30-11 a.m., that's for sure.
