This isn't directly related to the Harry Potter book, it's more about this guy that's attempting to ruin the story for other people on LJ...

But if you haven't finished the book and you're planning to, DON'T click this... seriously spoilers ahead.

I've seen it on a more local level... observed my friends, their actions and the resulting backlash.

That is utterly ridiculous. Why would someone do that? I only clicked on his name because I had already read the book, but I didn't get what his name really meant till I went to his page. I thought he was like Madame Maxim (I know that's not her name, but that's what I remember her as) and was calling him Dumbly-dore, or Dumbledories. So I guess it wouldn't have worked for everyone, but I still don't understand why someone would do that...

Right? It hurts my soul that people can be so cruel. That they take pleasure in taking away another person's happiness.
