weather patterns...
We never made it to the Atlantic.
This crazy-ass lightning storm went through Gainesville as we were driving around, and after circling around trying to find the place (we eventually did), I decided the weather was too crazy for me to want to be walking from some parking spot in the boonies to the club. I'm glad, because like five minutes later the skies opened and it was pouring.
By the time we got back to the campus area, lightning was striking all around us. Devin was laughing hysterically at me freaking out, and laughing because apparently all the lightning reminded him of War of the Worlds... I kept ducking even though we were in my car. By the time we got to the Lexington area, every two seconds lightning was flashing around us. Seriously the craziest lightning storm I've ever seen. We made a mad dash up the stairs into my apartment, and within another 15 minutes or so the thunder stopped and life returned to normal.
I think it was just nature having a laugh at me because I watched Twister on TNT today. Ah well. Devin and I will be going to the Atlantic tomorrow night instead (there'll be some live bands tomorrow).
