Half-blood prince (no spoilers, I promise)
I am finished with book 6.
Wow. I'm in sort of a daze right now. Just, wow.
J.K. Rowling just absolutely blows me away every time. Each time I don't think it could get any better, and yet it does. Every time.
In the past two days, I have shut out all of my normal comforts. I have spoken with only three people: Owen, Mishy and Devin. Owen, because I live with him and knew he hasn't read the books so there was no fear of him revealing anything. Mishy and Devin are both in my boat, so it was safe.
I have not read livejournal at all. I left the house once, in order to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Mishy. And even then, I was a bit worried someone might be talking about it at the theater. Thankfully, no such spoilers.
Charlie was fun and Johnny Depp is officially the coolest guy ever, but I do agree that I'm still partial to the original. I still loved the new movie and laughed my ass off, but the original is tied to my childhood and that's a tie that's hard to break.
*sigh* I'm actually dreading book 7. I know it will be a long wait before it comes, but I'm dreading it because the series will be over. Book 7 is the end. I will be so very sad for the story to be over.
