Ahhhh! So many people I know from high school have been getting engaged/married! Crazy!
The latest addition: Kenneth and Erica just got engaged two days ago! I'd been waiting for that for a while though, so not a big surprise there. Kenneth was one of my best guy friends through most of high school, and he started dating Erica our sophomore year. She lived 45 minutes away though, so it would be a struggle for an average 16-year-old male to handle distance, especially since she was 15 and he was doing all the driving. But he really, really cared for her and they made it work.
When college time came, I was a little bit apprehensive. He was moving to Gainesville, she still had another year of high school left. Then after high school, she ended up at UNF instead of UF. But apparently here they are still together some four years later. He's 20 and she's 19 though, so still pretty young and they've never actually lived in the same town! lol.
Hopefully all will work out for them though, Kenneth is a great guy and Erica fits him well.
