What's it about?
On the surface, it's a mystery - a young woman discovers that there was much more to her late grandmother than she had thought. The story weaves together the journies of three different women as they discover their identities. These three stories are tied together by a mysterious book of dark fairy tales, and those stories reveal how closely past and present can parallel each other.
Are you enjoying it?
Yes? Morton frequently jumps back and forth between three timelines, and there are moments when I just want to stay in one of them for a while longer. Besides that, the tone in the early-1900's timeline is very dark and Gothic-y, and knowing that the character is headed toward certain doom does not always make for enjoyable reading. But, overall the story is pretty absorbing.
