Everyone has a broken butt story, it turns out. I don't know how many times this past week, after explaining what happened to me last week, I heard similar stories from whoever I was talking to: they fell down stairs, mostly, and all of them said it took forever to heal. GAH. It's been a week plus a couple of days and I still can't sit comfortably

have you been to Rome before? i've only been once but it was immediately after i finished my B.A. in ancient and medieval history. it was great, because everything was fresh in my mind and i knew what all the arches and monuments were. i could even read all the inscriptions! the forum just absolutely blew my mind. full of ghosts. have a great trip.

I was in Rome once, when I was around 16 or 17, when we were traveling through Italy on a tour with my choir. We must have been there for 2 days, because we saw a LOT, but I barely remember it. My husband has never been, and neither have the kids, and I am excited to see things again, especially the Sistine Chapel, as I saw it before it was cleaned/renovated.

I'm sorry to learn of your broken butt. I have yet to break mine (knock on wood it will never happen), but have heard stories before of the pain and slower-than-desired healing time.

I did not realize cats sneezed. I hope your trip to Rome is/will be perfect for you!
