catching up

So finally I spent how many hours watching all of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, and except for the unfortunate side effect of wanting to punch Sofia Vergara for that incessant commercial, it's so cute and well-done. I was pondering fic and then I realized I had put it into the same slightly awkward box in my brain I have for RPF, so WELL PLAYED SHOW. ( Read more... )

It's really easy to forget that LBD is scripted - it just mimics the real vlogging/social media stuff so well and makes caring for the characters so easy.

I need to take a break from TVD as I did at the end of last season (still haven't watched those episodes) - I spent previous episodes frantically hoping someone would kill Damon (even though I know it won't ever happen) and I spent last one hoping Kol would survive (he was actually making sense and being responsible so obviously he had to die). I just can't take it anymore - I'm starting to hate all those people. At least Rebekah didn't get daggered this time.

I also knew Stanton was leaving when I saw The Following. Although I was hoping to see her trying to get Harold (or maybe becoming anti-team with Root). I loved that she got her mission accomplished - she knew them too well and they couldn't stop her. I kind of already miss her. I think that whatever they implemented will try to destroy or take over the Machine. I hope Root gets to save it (she's already in love with it anyway).

Nikita continuous to be awesome. I'm so unused to women saying and acting this way on TV I always feel weird when they say thing like Alex said to Sean on TV instead of in my mind when I fix it.

I didn't mind the Save Elena For ALL quite so much when she was human and positioned as the key to everything ever, because that was irritating but at least there was some sort of reasoning, but now that she's a regular fledgling vampire, WHATEVER, show - I'm expected to be okay with Damon slaughtering a dozen people just so Elena can be human again? SHE'S NOT THAT SPECIAL and it makes me mad that the show is making me hate Elena, because I can't stand the whole sirebond thing either, which is THE WORST. Not only is it squicky, which is bad enough, but it's also a narrative cop-out, get-out-of-jail-free card, besides, which is gonna act like a reset as soon as she's human again. FEH.

And the idea that a bunch of Vampires and Werewolves and Witches think Kol's warning about Silas is a fairy tale, boggles my mind. So quickly they've forgotten that they ddin't even know Werewolves existed a couple years ago...

Yeah, I think Harold may try to get Root to help (of course that's assuming Root didn't write the code in the first place). But Stanton definitely made her presence known for as little as she was actually around - and it's also kind of sad that without her or Snow, we don't have anyone left who knew Reese before.

I can't stop feeling like everyone would be so much better off if Elena would just really die. So many lives would be saved. Everyone could move on. This is what I felt about Sword of Truth books and Supernatural and I hate quit both so it's not a good sign. Especially that there is less and less characters I actually care about.

Root fangirls Machine so hard I can't believe she would let any harm to come to it. Humans - sure, but not Machine.
