Break Over, back to fangirling and fic

Jeez guys, I told you, I'm fine!. Stil, thank you. I feel very loved.

Anyway, on to other things, like Doctor Who and fanfic, because I never talk about those. Ahem.

So mike went to the library yesterday while I was screwing around on the internets recovering and picked up some DVDs - including the recent releace of The Time Warrior. ( Why this is awesome )

I want The Time Warrior! Greg thinks we already have it, but I don't think so.

Hey, why not do picowrimo--I am. It's only 5000 words, and you don't have to finish a story--and it can be anything. Some people do theses or essays.

Oh, the new DVD is well worth it - the special is very good, with interviews, and though it only has one commentary track, it's with Lis Sladen. The re-done effects are very nice too, and honestly I wouldn't watch it without them, as the originals are so bad they jar you out of the story.

picowrimo looks very tempting... mmm, we'll see how far along I am with my remixes by the time November starts.

I'm going over to the mall that had it last time I was there, so I may buy it today!

It's very doable and all they care about is word count, which could include your remixes. :-)

Yep, it's purely word count. They should have a post up in the next few days.

I got 'Time Warrior'--and 'Timelash', bwahahaha! I had some gift vouchers to use, so that was good.

I also bought wool for a Doctor Who scarf and have started knitting it (I joined who_knits with a friend). This will be extra fun when the new kitten arrives tomorrow. :-P

BTW I went to the doctor this week for more pills and there's a new migraine one out. It's the same drug, Imigran, but it has another name and dissolves on your tongue and therefore acts a lot more quickly. It's called Maxalt Melt (rizatriptan). Both the doctor and the pharmacist said they tried samples with no drugs in them and it just disappeared straight into their tongues. Ask your doctor about it. :-) If you can't get it, the pills are still pretty good with a one hour or so response.

Excellent. Thanks much.

Fantastic! Though I forget which one Timelash is.

That is SO COOL! My mum would have loved all this fannish knitting stuff.

Oh lord. New kitten + enough wool for doctor who scarf = utter screaming chaos fun for the whole family!

Timelash is apparently the one in which PD hams it up (even more than usual) so I couldn't resist.

The doctor said that there are two things which get better with age: red wine and migraines. Unfortunately red wine causes migraines, but it's nice to know that one of my health problems will actually go away.

Lol I can see why.

Oh thank god. And wow, that's the first I've heard of something red wine causes that's not good for you. Er, besides hangovers and alcoholism if you overdo it.

Apparently it's the Silurians I should have got for baby PD, but they didn't have that. This will give me a laugh anyway. I quite enjoyed 'The Sontaran Experiment' after all, and it had great special features.

I've been careful about red wine for years because I knew it gave me headaches. Rose and white are fin though, but I do like a nice velvety red at times.
